In 1995 Craig Mooney and Jay Saenger were both working for the Austin Shirt Company. At that time, Austin Shirt Company’s primary focus was on mass producing designs for nation-wide distribution through grocery store chains.
In 2001 Craig and Jay were presented with the opportunity to purchase the business. After negotiations were finalized, these two creative guys knew that they needed to move away from nationwide distribution, and bring the focus back to the community. In October 2001 it became official, Craig and Sandy Mooney with Graphic Designer, Jay Saenger, became small business owners.
As their goals changed, they needed a name change! Georgetown Shirt Company was decided upon to reflect the change in their goals, but they always knew that they wanted to keep Austin Shirt Company as well. Their goal was to reach out to the community and be able to print for local groups, schools, churches, as well as still print for big clients including Willie Nelson, Fossil, Ralph Lauren, and Major NFL, NBA, and MLB teams.
As partners, they began with a commitment to be proactive, giving, caring members of our Community. They have faithfully supported organizations like:
Boys and Girls Club
Local P.T.A and P.T.O. clubs
Partners in Education and Mentoring Groups
Local Relay for Life Teams
